Hi, I'm Laura.
Coach, busy mum and firm believer in a cinnamon roll on a Saturday. I built ALINE because I spent years getting this wrong, and I don't want you to do the same.

How I got here
The short version of a long journey, and why I coach the way I do.
Chasing skinny
I started working out at 16, doing as much cardio as I could and trying to stay under 1200 calories. Chocolate and pizza felt evil. I was skinny, and the unhappiest I'd ever been.
Lifting, but guessing
Bikini competitors inspired me to start lifting weights. But I didn't know what I was doing and wasn't eating enough to fuel it, so I built very little muscle.
The bulk and the binge
My first bulk put me in too big a surplus. After years of restriction, I couldn't control myself around the foods I loved, and I got stuck in a binge and restrict cycle. Eating chocolate every day in a moderate deficit is what finally broke it. That's why I preach moderation over perfection.
27kg, and my best results yet
I gained 27kg in pregnancy and lost it all training one to three times a week instead of five or six. Resting more and stressing less made the difference. It's why I manage recovery and total stress for every client.

What I believe
- Getting in shape should never cost you your health or your relationship with food.
- There's no one size fits all. Every plan is personal.
- We train for aesthetics, but never at the expense of longevity and health.
- The why matters as much as the what, so mindset, stress and lifestyle are part of coaching.
- Less is more. Effective sessions and well managed recovery beat endless hours in the gym.
- Evidence first. No fads, no trends and no supplement hype.
What we're against
Because knowing what not to do is half the battle.
- Fad diets and over-restriction.
- Excessive cardio.
- Packing on unnecessary fat in the name of a bulk.
- Relying on protein bars and processed food to hit your macros.
- Supplements without solid evidence behind them.
Outside the gym, if I’m not in mum mode you’ll find me buried in a fantasy book or eating a cinnamon bun with an oat milk latteLaura
Let's do this properly.
